Sheet metal and plate processing: handled with care
The sheet metal used to manufacture aircraft has to be handled and processed with absolute care. Our expertise at sheet and plate handling and processing is unrivalled in the aerospace and defense industry. We offer our clients the options of plates cut-to-size on a circular panel saw or block band saw, or cut to exact or near-net shapes using high-speed routers or waterjet machines. All orders are optimized to minimize scrap and remnants to save costs.

The range of state-of-the-art machinery available at thyssenkrupp Aerospace means can offer our clients complete flexibility in the way we process their sheet and plate orders. Plates with dimensions exceeding the capabilities of panel saws can be cut on block band saws.
Our laser inspection process ensures that your orders are cut to exact specifications. We also offer the option of PVC coating as well as bespoke inspection processes for surface-critical or fuselage skin sheets. Your orders will be packaged with complete care and delivered just-in-time.
