Our wide array of precision processing services includes precision cuts, contour sawing for circles, rings, and special shapes, shearing. In addition, we also offer first stage machining (including drilling & tapping) and laminating services.
thyssenkrupp Aerospace has bar saws and chamfering machines which provide the following machining capabilities:
- Up to 500 mm (19,685 in) diameter
- Automatic feed saws maximize productivity
- One offs and multiple items
- Bar ends chamfered
- Aluminum, steel, titanium can be processed
- Each item hard metal stamped to ensure full lot traceability
Cut to size
We operate a range of bar saws which are capable of cutting all sizes of bar. Normally bars are cut to length with a tolerance of ± 1 mm (0.040 in).
Turning
We can also supply bars with chamfered ends or turned to close tolerances.

To provide flat bars to very close tolerances we have a range of machines capable of machining both single and parallel faces to thickness tolerances of ± 0.2 mm (0.008 in).
thyssenkrupp Aerospace has the latest technology plate saws which provide the following machining capabilities:
- Precision cut plate blanks to ± 0.4 mm (0.015 in)
- Long plates up to 6 metres (19.685 ft)
- Thick plates up to 300 mm (11.8 in)
- Specialized cutting of aluminum, steel, titanium
- Plate profiles are digitally nested to optimize utilization
- Each item is hard metal stamped or etched/labeled to ensure full lot traceability

thyssenkrupp Aerospace has precision tube cutting saws and a dedicated team of people that provide the following machining capabilities:
- Up to 150 mm (5.9 in) diameter
- Semi-automatic saws with deburring capability to maximize productivity
- Precision cutting to ± 0.05 mm (0.0019 in)
- Aluminum, steel, titanium can be processed
- Each item marked to ensure full lot traceability
- Tube can be washed to remove grease before packing
- Individually packed to eliminate damage
Full size tube
Tubes up to 6 m (20 ft) in length are stocked and a variety of sizes are held, the majority are 3 m (10 ft) long.
Packing
To complete the comprehensive service, tubes can be automatically heat sealed in plastic bags or placed in returnable kanban boxes, for ease of handling and to ensure full traceability is maintained.
